iPhone has arrived..Lay your hands on one..

"Much anticipated, much awaited iPhone launched at the Apple Store on 5th Avenue, New York. Here's a first look at hands grabbin' the iPhone to check out the unique features" says the NoComment News contributor....

In the meantime, NY Times reports: "The iPhone is a huge step for Apple, but it is also critical to AT&T’s growth. The telephone company has an exclusive contract with Apple in the United States to sell the phone and provide wireless phone service, and is betting on an influx of new customers. Of course, that would mean that people who already have cellphone service with other carriers must be willing to pay the hefty fees to break their contracts...

Hey guys, will you get as crazy as all the world to get the i-phone with AT&T contract?

Flood in the UK

Wanted to see by yourself what's happening in the UK where the country is flooded?

NoComment News is of service!

Here's one of the stories by NoComment News group contributor:

"Quite the centre of watersports! The street outside my house (the rivers Ouse & Foss are more usually to be found in the top right hand corner of the shot).

Blue Bridge Lane has been flooded for the second time in a week and this time a flotilla of canoes are out in the late evening sunshine".

6 facts about last week - in pictures!

6 facts about last week (in pictures!):

1) Naked bike protest was held in several cities of the USA, France, UK. The protest was against oil dependancy.

2) Anti G8 demonstrations were held not only in Germany, but in Second Life as well.

3) Great Gorilla Run in San Francisco showed that a few gorillas still live in the world.

4) Rome protested against Bush visit, a week later the city held Gay Pride Parade 2007.

5) By the way, most Gay Pride parades around the world happen in June. This is to oppose to Father's Day with its family values.

6) In the meantime, flickr was blocked in China and censored in Germany and North Korea; Comcast island launched in Second Life; and a woman answered 'Yes, I do' on top of Taipei 101.

Michael Moore's Sicko has been pirated

More detail here: adage.com/article?article_id=117350

Will you watch a pirated copy or wait till June 29th?

Michael Moore - Healthcare protest and Sicko pirated

According to NoComment News Michael Moore, a creator of a documentary about healthcare corruption, took part in the recent protest for Healthcare in Washington.

Do you want to see this movie? Well, according to Advertising Age, Michael Moore's new documentary "Sicko" has been pirated and is now widely available for download on peer-to-peer content sites like www.thepiratebay.org.

However, I would prefer to see it on June 29th, when it's available in theaters.

Shimon Peres is a Winner

Winner!

"Shimon Peres is finally a Winner -- and Israel's President Elect, having won the Knesset vote on June 13 with an overwhelming majority in the second runnoff balloting. The country sighed a sigh of relief on seeing the senior statesman next in line to take over a job tarnished by the incumbant, Moshe Katzav who is currently under criminal investigation. This newspaper clipping in an ice cream store on Emek Refaim Street in Jerusalem pretty much expresses the relief and satisfication with the election of a man who can once again give the Presidency the respect it deserves".

VX553 and colleague interrogate a suspected terrorist

"Quite right too! The guy is obviously an Arab, or a South American or something.
He is carrying a booklet about the democratically elected government of Palestine, Hamas. This proves that he is a terrorist".

The Unmaterial Girl Returns, Madonna of the Trail

As far as the comment under picture in NoComment News pool goes:

"After a ten-year absence from her post the Madonna of the Trail marker returned to Bethesda last weekend.

Madonna had been relocated to the Fire Training Academy following a water main break that undermined and damaged her pedestal. Why it took so long to fix it and return her is typical government-at-work".

2) The red shirts (above, from the NoComment News pool) still insist to come for the 'anti-corruption and depose-Chen' gathering. Read more by the link above!

Palm Foleo

palm foleo

(a screenshot is from http://flickr.com/groups/nocommentnews)

Have you seen this already? Palm introduced Palm Foleo, a new laptop from Palm. Yet dependent on Treo.

"I think he actually makes a good point about the four basic things(email, documents, web, games) people do on the go with their laptop. The only thing missing is maybe music.I think a flaw in there strategy is promoting this as being dependent on a treo. I think the mobile companion idea can actually work as a stand alone device, that just happens to be able to use your smart phone as one means of connecting. Frankly, they probably should have waited closer to launch to even announce the product so they could talk about what other applications it will include". (a discussion on TreoCentral, with a link to Colligan's video interview).

Would you purchase it?
